This is the GENEX8 pedal wrench. Experience the new torque transmission feel of the X-shaped handle and its workability, which is a bit different from the standard L-shaped and T-shaped handles. It features a "flat type" that anyone can use with confidence and the highest quality "hard chrome" plating.

The GENEX8 is an X-shaped 8mm hex wrench used to tighten and loosen the hex socket bolts that secure pedals. Its three-pronged functionality includes quick turning, pre-tightening, and final tightening. The opposite side of the bit features a 6mm hexagon, and its design prioritizes a firm grip and torque transmission. The surface is plated with hard chrome, which is said to be the hardest electroplating material and has excellent abrasion resistance, resulting in a premium finish.
The GENEX8 is an extra-long wrench with a total length of 230 mm and a handle diameter of 10 mm. This is roughly the same size as a standard extra-long 8 mm hex wrench. The 65 mm wide knurling prevents your fingers from slipping when turning quickly, but it is also effective when tightening by gripping the handle, providing a torque transmission feel that sets it apart from commercially available products. The length of the hex bit is 20 mm on the 6 mm side and 30 mm on the 8 mm side.

The GENEX8 was developed as a reproduction of the TAKE68, which was discontinued due to its inability to turn quickly. The TAKE68 was a pedal wrench that was popular with track bike and MTB mechanics alike. The GENEX8 is Runwell's long-awaited reproduction model.

*If the cap becomes loose, remove it and add a few drops of Loctite 242 before reattaching it.
*If you are concerned about the bit of play, you can use it without rattle by fixing the bit with a hex socket set screw M6 x 6 instead of the top cap. You may also push a piece of tire tube inside the hole then scew the top cap to eliminates the play.
※If the bit is worn or chipped, you can purchase and replace just the bit.
