The golden card-type gauge allows you to check the chain line with one touch to ensure the best performance. This gauge is useful during inspections at busy racing tracks.

GAUGE42Si is a gauge that checks the distance between the center plane of a keirin frame and the chainring (42mm ± 2mm is NJS standard). The distance from the center of the V groove to the center of the 4mm wide hole of the gauge is 42mm, so if the chainring fits into the long hole after setting the V groove as shown in the picture, it can be determined that the inspection standard is met. If you are using a tapered crank, the taper part may be pushed in further than necessary due to excessive wear, or the crank may not be fully inserted due to insufficient tightening, so please use this product to check the position appropriately. The chainring may also be distorted by impact such as falling off the bike. It is easy to check the distortion of the chainring by setting the gauge and looking into the long hole while turning the crank..

The material is ion-plated stainless steel SUS304 (18-8 stainless steel). It is smaller than a credit card, so it fits in any card case. A single golden card has an overwhelming presence, even overpowering other tools.

-Notes-

*This product was made as a gauge to measure the chain line with a tapered crank. Please note that it may not be possible to measure correctly depending on the design width of the BB shell. Also, depending on the hub of an overseas manufacturer, the rear sprocket may protrude, and the appropriate chain line may not be obtained even if you check it with this product.

*Please refrain from installing Sugino cranks on HATTA bottom brackets. Due to the difference in taper angle, the cranks will not fit in properly and the chain line will not be properly aligned. Excessive tightening may damage the bolts.

Media Coverage *The two articles use the old format, but the usage is the same.
