MARINE NUT 316 is a hub nut machined from SUS316L (also known as marine-grade stainless steel), a highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Crafted from SUS316L, this component offers top-tier durability and corrosion resistance. It easily handles rain, snow, saltwater, and harsh coastal moisture—providing even greater structural rigidity than titanium alloys for a smooth, reliable ride.

High corrosion resistance is just the beginning. The "L" in SUS316L stands for "Low Carbon"—a smart design feature that prevents heat-induced corrosion during tightening. This keeps your nuts from seizing and protects against structural failure over time. 【Development Story】
The short film Snow Warrior—screened at the Bicycle Film Festival in Yokohama in November 2025—is set in Edmonton, Canada, where temperatures can plunge to nearly -40°C. It follows a female bike messenger powering her fixed gear bike through brutal winter streets, cutting through snow and roads drenched in corrosive de-icing agents.

Watching her ride through slush and ice mixed with those harsh salts was an eye-opener for us: cyclists need a hub nut with exceptional corrosion resistance.

Determined to create a component that would never give up in such punishing environments, we put titanium and stainless steel to the test—balancing cost, corrosion resistance, and structural rigidity. The result is what we believe is the ultimate hub nut, built to withstand any weather and the toughest road conditions.
