As an alternative to hexagon socket bolts, we propose hub axle bolts that can be tightened with a 15mm wrench. Have you ever had the experience of feeling unsure about the tightening torque of hexagon sockets or of your hexagon wrench stripping when applying torque?

The 15M8Bolt is an M8 bolt with a 1.25 pitch washer, developed as a special bolt for hubs that are fixed with a hexagonal socket bolt. The width of the hexagonal part is 15mm. The washer that is fixed by crimping spins freely, so it is designed to prevent scratches on the end fittings. As far as we have researched, the hubs that can be attached are Philwood, Mac and Raketa.

Hub screw holes vary depending on the manufacturer. Please check the screw specifications of the hub you are using in advance.

This product is designed to fit the end width of the frame (front 9mm/rear 10mm), and the shoulder part where the end metal fittings come into contact is 9mm in diameter for the front and 10mm in diameter for the rear.

Hubs that use hexagonal socket bolts are attached to the frame by tightening them with a 5mm or 6mm wrench, but at race venues, there were complaints such as "the torque wasn't applied properly and the wheel shifted" and "if I tightened it too forcefully, the hexagonal socket became stripped." To solve these issues, we developed a bolt that can be tightened with a 15mm wrench.

Notes

*There is a hook mark on the middle of threads that occurs during surface treatmment. This does not affect use.
